I see something in this comic that I haven't seen in a long time. The absence of a supporting figure, which would otherwise respond in conflict, is substituted for a direct consideration. In the past, this consideration has been used only in circumstances in which the construction demands it linguistically. The trend then regresses to comics that use transcendental humor, and metaphysical references to structuralism circumposed around naturalistic humor in ironic prose.
